It is a fairly trivial project we had to do for one of our software engineering classes. It was more about the documentation process along the way than the final result. The only requirement was to use dynamic updating on the page. The user types in stock symbol(s) into the bar at the top, and via an AJAX call the information about those stocks is requested from Nasdaq and Yahoo. The user can also save their “favorite” stocks to his account in the database, so when he returns to the site he doesn’t have to type the symbols in again. The stocks can be toggled on and off the graph by clicking their names on the bar across the screen.
